In recent days, the production workshop of Ningbo Climboo CNC Machinery Co., Ltd. has been bustling. A six-axis drilling-milling composite machine tool just passed on-site acceptance and is now being fitted with protective panels before shipment to South Korea.

"Right at the start of this year, we secured an order exceeding 3 million yuan from South Korea's Daeyang Technology Co., Ltd. This customized drilling-milling composite machine was specifically engineered for them," said Zhu Jianbo, the second-generation successor and deputy general manager of Climboo, with visible excitement.

Bae Jeong-hwan, CEO of Daeyang Technology, also praised the product highly: "We evaluated seven or eight Chinese enterprises but ultimately chose Climboo. Their drilling-milling integrated CNC machine tools lead domestically, and their dedicated R&D philosophy aligns with our pursuit of excellence." He further expressed intentions to deepen collaboration in technology sharing and introduction.

Founded in 2014 and headquartered in Ningbo’s Southern Coastal New Area, Climboo specializes in R&D and manufacturing of high-end CNC equipment like deep-hole drilling machines and six-axis horizontal milling complexes. Since transitioning from traditional manufacturing in 2012, the company has focused on precision equipment for automotive molds, aerospace, and military sectors, achieving an annual output value surpassing 30 million yuan last year. The drilling-milling composite machine ordered by the South Korean client is one of its flagship products.

Zhu Jianbo explained: "This machine processes complex large-scale molds. Its core innovation is the dual-spindle structure, enabling separate drilling and milling operations or instant switching with one button." Compared to single-spindle machines requiring manual spindle changes, this design enhances structural stability and boosts machining precision. Switching takes just 3 seconds, improving efficiency by 30% while eliminating labor-intensive adjustments.

Notably, this dual-spindle machine was recognized as Zhejiang Province’s "First (Set) of Major Equipment" in 2018 and contributes nearly 40% of the company’s annual output value. Climboo prioritizes innovation, investing approximately 2 million yuan annually in R&D through its engineering center. Current projects include five-axis horizontal milling machines and overhead gantry systems for higher precision. Its products now serve markets in Russia, South Korea, and beyond.

Data shows the company’s Q1 output value exceeded 8 million yuan in 2025, a 30% year-on-year increase, with factory orders scheduled through May.
